IAS Officer DK Ravi’s mysterious death created a nationwide uproar as he is known to be an upright officer. He took on sand and land mafia in Bangalore, didn’t even spare the tax evaders. So, A foul play is suspected wen he was found hanging to the ceiling fan in his residence.

Initially, Congress Government ordered for CID Probe assuring that it is more than enough. It, however, succumbed to the pressure from public and asked CBI to take up the case.

Upon completion of the investigation, CBI submitted the report to the Centre. Union Law Minister TB Jayachandra said CBI has reached the conclusion that DK Ravi committed suicide under mental pressure. The case has been shut down on November 26th as per section 176 of CrPC.

Post Ravi’s death, Speculations were abuzz that someone might have killed him and picturized it as a suicide. The other version was that his love failure with a fellow IAS Officer drove him to take the extreme step. All these rumors were proven false with the CBI report.
