‘MLA’s Gandhigiri’ – Kurtha to Union Minister, Trouser to CM

In a unique protest,  BJP MLA Vinay Bihari from Bihar has packed his Kurtha (shirt) to union minister for Roads Nitin Gadkari and his Pyjama (trouser) to Bihar Chief minister Nitish Kumar for not sanctioning road projects in his assembly constituency. He has been demanding to release funds to lay road on a 44-km-long stretch from West Champaran’s Manuapul via Jogapatti to Navalpur Ratwal Chowk Path.

The law maker has been demanding for the sanction of road works for the past three years but the governments fell on deaf years.

As a mark of protest, the legislator stripped down to half-pants and an undershirt and sent them to the union minister and chief minister. A seemingly frustrated Vinay said he also forwarded letters.  He wrote that his kurta was emblematic of Bhartiya Janta Party’s pride and honour.
